Not every appliance install is straightforward. This one needed some real thought before we ever touched a tool. The homeowner had a beautifully designed basement bar - custom cabinetry, marble countertops, the works - and the layout required both the fridge and freezer doors on the Monogram 3030 to swing the opposite direction from their default configuration.

Door reversal sounds simple, but on a built-in unit like the Monogram 3030, it has to be done correctly or you end up with alignment issues, seal problems, and a unit that fights the space instead of fitting it. We reversed both doors so they open exactly the way the bar layout demands - no awkward reach-arounds, no blocked pathways, just clean function.

That's the part most people don't think about when they're planning a space like this. The cabinetry gets all the attention, and rightfully so - it's stunning. But if the appliances aren't installed to match how the space actually flows, it undercuts everything. Getting the built-in refrigerator installation dialed in to the specific demands of this bar setup is what makes the whole thing work day to day.

With a panel-ready unit like this, the custom wood panel sits flush with the surrounding cabinetry. You almost can't tell there's a refrigerator there at all. That seamless look only holds up if the installation underneath it is precise - level, properly secured, doors aligned and sealing tight. That's what we focus on.

Every space has its own quirks. Basement bars, kitchen renovations, custom wet bars - they all have layout considerations that a standard install doesn't account for. We work through those details so the end result actually fits the life being built around it.
