This is kitchen number three from a home show build, and it is stacked. We are talking a full suite of built-in appliances across the whole space - and we are just waiting on the last few panels to button everything up. That final detail work is what separates a clean install from a great one, and we do not rush it.
Here is what we were working with: an SKS column refrigerator fitted flush into the cabinetry with custom panels, an SKS gas rangetop sitting under a dramatic arched wood hood against a full slab marble backsplash, a Miele built-in coffee system paired with a warming drawer stacked in the wall, an SKS double wall oven with a built-in microwave combo, a KitchenAid microwave dropped into the island, and a panel-ready dishwasher that disappears right into the navy cabinetry. That is a lot of moving parts to coordinate - and every single one has to land perfectly.
Built-in appliance installation is a different animal than a standard drop-in swap. When you are working with panel-ready units and column refrigerators, the fit has to be exact. A gap that is even slightly off reads immediately against high-end cabinetry. We pay attention to that stuff because the homeowner is going to be looking at it every single day.
What really pulls this kitchen together is how each appliance disappears into its own zone. The column fridge sits behind panels that match the surrounding cabinetry. The dishwasher blends right into the navy lower cabinets with a brass pull that ties into the rest of the hardware. Nothing feels bolted on or out of place. That is the goal with any built-in install - power and function without sacrificing the look.
We are almost at the finish line on this one. The bones are all in, the appliances are set, and once those last panels are on, this kitchen is going to be the showstopper it was designed to be. This is the kind of work we love doing, and we bring the same attention to detail to every job - home show or not.
