This was a full kitchen suite install in Norwalk - gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a built-in range hood, all going in together during an active kitchen renovation. The whole space was still mid-build when we showed up, and that's actually pretty common. Coordinating appliance installs alongside other trades takes some planning, but getting everything set right the first time saves a lot of headaches down the line.

The black slate finish on the GE appliances is a strong choice here. It sits right between the crisp white cabinetry and the bright subway tile backsplash without fighting for attention. A lot of homeowners worry about how a darker appliance finish will land in a lighter kitchen - this is a good example of how well it works when the rest of the design is balanced.

The gas range installation is always one we take seriously. Getting the fit right within the cabinetry opening, confirming the gas connection is solid, and making sure everything is level before it gets locked in - none of that is worth rushing. Same goes for the refrigerator. Built-in-style placement like this, tucked between upper cabinets, has to be precise or the gaps show immediately.

The dishwasher went in clean next to the farmhouse sink, flush with the cabinet faces. And the range hood - that one sits recessed into a custom surround with the subway tile wrapping it on three sides. Details like that are what make a kitchen feel intentional rather than just functional.
