We partnered with Nico Construction on this custom kitchen build in West Des Moines, and it was exactly the kind of job we love. Multiple appliances, a high-end layout, and zero room for error. When a kitchen is this carefully designed, the installation has to match that same level of care.
Here's what we were working with - a large island featuring both a gas cooktop and an induction cooktop side by side, with a custom wood-trimmed hood insert mounted overhead. Getting that hood insert seated correctly inside a builder-framed surround takes precision. It has to line up flush, vent properly, and look clean from every angle. That's not something you figure out on the fly.
The wall oven setup is a double stack built directly into the cabinetry. That kind of built-in appliance installation requires careful coordination with the cabinet dimensions and the electrical rough-in. If anything is even slightly off, you're dealing with gaps, misaligned trim, or worse - an appliance that doesn't fit at all. We made sure everything came together tight and level.
Dishwasher installation rounded out the work on this one. Flush to the cabinet face, properly leveled, and hooked up clean. On a job like this, every single appliance has to look like it was always meant to be there - not just dropped in at the end.
Jobs like this one don't just require technical skill. They require planning, communication with the builder, and experience handling multiple appliance types in a single space. That's what we bring to every install, whether it's one appliance or an entire kitchen.
