We got to team up with Kruse Construction on a custom home build in West Des Moines, and this one is shaping up to be something really special. New construction appliance installs are some of our favorite jobs. Everything goes in fresh, there are no old hookups to deal with, and when it's done right, the whole kitchen and laundry space just comes together clean.

The kitchen got a full stainless steel treatment. A Bosch slide-in range with a glass cooktop surface sits flush against the countertop - that tight, built-in look is something you only get when the installation is dialed in correctly. The dishwasher is tucked right into the cabinetry, panel-ready and flush with the face of the cabinets. It's the kind of detail that makes a high-end kitchen feel cohesive instead of pieced together. A glass-door beverage cooler rounds out the lower cabinet run, fitted snug into the corner with clean clearances on all sides.

Over in the laundry room, we set up a matching LG front-load washer and dryer. These are big, high-capacity units and they look sharp side by side. Getting a pair like this properly leveled and connected in a new build matters more than most people realize - an unlevel washer vibrates, walks across the floor, and wears out faster.
