There's a reason the Café Matt White finish has been so popular lately. It works with warm tones, cool tones, painted cabinets, wood cabinets - pretty much everything. And when it's installed clean and flush, it gives the whole kitchen that intentional, designed look that most people are going for.
Here's what we were working with: a full kitchen setup with gray-green cabinetry, brass hardware, and quartz countertops. The homeowner chose Café appliances throughout, and our job was to make sure everything sat right and looked like it belonged there. That means level, secure, properly connected, and finished so nothing looks like an afterthought.
The dishwasher install is one of those jobs that looks simple from the outside but has a lot going on underneath. Getting the door to sit flush with the cabinet face, making sure the unit is properly secured to the underside of the counter, and verifying all the connections are tight - it all matters. A sloppy install shows, and it can cause real problems down the road.
The microwave is built into a dedicated cabinet niche, sitting right above a marble-look quartz shelf. Getting a built-in microwave positioned correctly in a custom space like that takes patience. Too far forward or back and the trim kit doesn't sit flat. We take our time with these because the finished look is worth it.
When both appliances are done right, the whole kitchen feels cohesive. That built-in, intentional feel that homeowners are after - it doesn't happen by accident. It comes from appliance installation that's done carefully, from start to finish.
